Rigging

Rigging is responsible for creating armatures and controls for anything that needs to move. This includes character models, props, and even things like strings. The rigging team works closely with modeling and animation to insure each model is detailed enough to provide proper deformations for any pose animators need to make. The rigging team is also responsible for more technical art and troubleshooting. This ranges anywhere from cloth simulation, to adding very specific controls to push the characters to the exact shapes they need to be. Riggers also work as technical help for any problems or bugs that appear during production. A good knowledge of the all the software and tools used in production, as well as a solid understanding of the pipeline are essential.
